ENVIRONMENT THEME GROUP

The overall objective of the UN Environment taskforce in Uzbekistan is to support the UN Country Team in implementing the UNDAF OUTCOME 3: ENVIRONMENT ‘Integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programmes’, in accordance with National Priorities. It also supports the implementation of the Nationalized MDG Target 9: Integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programmes, and reverse the loss of environmental resources by 2015.
